Good old American Airlines

Remember how J and his mom were 14 hours delayed getting to London? It's happening again, in reverse. They had a nice time exploring Oxford, including riding a punt on the River Cherwell, and made it to Heathrow, and eventually got on the plane. Then there were problems with the backup electrical system, and eventually they were all made to get off the plane and stand in line for hotel vouchers. J spent more than an hour on the phone but eventually got onto the direct flight to RDU, which is more comfortable for his mom and also means he can in theory still make his connection to Eugene. If this new flight leaves on time, they'll be maybe 20 minutes shy of a 14-hour delay between London and RDU, though. I'll know about that within the next hour or two, with any luck at all.

Oh jeez, all these air travel issues these days. I like RDU though. I thought it was an easy airport.

Sorry to hear about more travel delays. I hope they're not too late arriving back in the US.

This last flight was totally on time, and they didn't have to go through NYC and another flight but went directly to RDU. Whew! Now we just need J's two Delta flights to go okay and he'll be here in 10 hours. :)
