Wednesday doings

J and his mom and her friend made it to Iffley to visit the Norman church where her grandmother had married (not because she was from Iffley, it was just an obsession with her to get married there), then walked around central Oxford some more, including seeing the friend off at the train station. Today they're headed to Chawton to see the Jane Austen House - their train from Oxford to Winchester should be arriving at any moment (I'm actually writing this at 2:32 am Pacific), and after they've visited the cathedral I imagine they'll take a taxi out to Chawton.

Today D visited me (and especially the cats) for about 20 minutes. He already misses the cats. So far they've learned that their Internet won't actually function properly until at least Saturday, and his mouse makes obnoxious clicking sounds that keep S awake.

We had some rain today. It was lovely! It started last night, and I enjoyed listening to it.

To visit the Jane Austen House would be fab, wow.

Oh dear, I hope D & S' small quarter are't too hard on them. Maybe she can get ear plugs, sigh.

I think she will have earplugs and he will buy a quieter mouse. It's going to be a challenge, though!
