Today we had the loveliest weather - 80 degrees with an ongoing gentle breeze, and no haze at all. I'd have liked to have spent time outside, beyond walking to J's house to let out the cats, and again to get my car so I could drive to the post office, but as it worked out I was mostly indoors.

I did get to help with J's official moving out, though - today after finishing his work day, he packed up his toiletries and laptop, and they took them to the apartment, then came back for his office chair and then his desk. I remember the two of us assembling that desk years ago - it was quite a project. Tonight he's sleeping in the apartment for the first time, and he'll work there tomorrow.

Meanwhile, J and C started their day with a somewhat rainy visit to Conwy Castle, then yet more "fun" with the British rail system, but eventually they did end up in Oxford, as desired. J collapsed onto the bed and slept, immediately, just as he did after the other day of train adventures. Now it's a new day there and they're meeting up with one of C's friends, who lives in England.

Oh right, the main reason I didn't get to spend much time outside until after dark was that in the evening I watched the presidential debate. The only time I ever listen to that man talk is during presidential debates. I was glad that Harris did fine.

The bits of the debate I read about and saw were pretty embarrassing for Trump...
