Armor side-effects

J got to wear his armor today for a monthly event where swordspeople perform at a local pub and then get a nice meal afterwards. When he got home, I was rather horrified to see that the new armor had burst a whole bunch of capillaries between his armpits and his collarbone - it doesn't hurt but looks dreadful. He's hoping a guy he knows can bend the armor to prevent this in the future.

I wonder if this was just an ordinary thing for guys who wore armor back in the middle ages. It sure looks awful.

I'm glad it didn't actually hurt, because it sure _looked_ bad.
