A beautiful day, with housework

Today J and D felt enough better that they went to the final event in the prerelease for the new Magic set (with masks on) after they'd each finished a full day of work. Progress! It was an absolutely beautiful day - the sky as clear as a bell, with a few pretty puffy clouds, and warm but not hot. I read outside a bit with the cats, then did a bunch of cleaning related to the guests arriving tomorrow. It's J's brother and seven-year-old nephew, from North Carolina. The plan is that tomorrow J will drive the 100+ miles to Portland to meet them, then drive another 70 miles to Mt St Helens, where they will explore some lava tubes. His nephew is a huge fan of volcanos. Eventually they'll make it all the way back here and spend three nights, leaving from Portland on Saturday. It's going to be much hotter here, so I hope they'll still have fun.
