It was such a relief to wake up this morning with only the minor "immune system fighting off Covid successfully" symptoms that I get whenever J or D has Covid. It seemed so likely that I would wake up with a full-blown case today that last night I procrastinated my bedtime a bit, until I reminded myself that sleep is important for health. Anyway, today D felt slightly better, and J was about the same, which is good, and I'm much better than they are (but still tired and achy), and they're really not that bad. J worked all day, and D worked some. (They both work online from home.)

The Friday movie this week was The New Adventures of PIppi Longstocking, which I really had no desire to watch. One thing I liked about the books was that they were books, and I didn't have to actually see Pippi doing all those Pippi things. J did watch, with his online community, and afterwards he came outside where I was reading and told me a funny part. The children are riding down the river in barrels, and the river is full of large rocks, sticking out of the water. However, since they were kids and safety matters, the rocks were very obviously chunks of that kind of painted foam construction that appeared in the original Star Trek series. Eventually I found a video online so I could see their amusing fakeness for myself, although first I found a similar scene from an entirely different movie about Pippi Longstocking, dubbed in Korean!

I can't remember how old I was when I read Pippi, maybe 5th or 6th grade but I just loved her! I can't imagine watching the movie as an adult, lol.

Thank goodness ya all are getting better!
