eve_prime | Thursday, with Covid

I see that I hadn’t mentioned that B was feeling ill when he and D rode back from California with R, on Sunday, nor had I mentioned that on Monday, D learned that B has Covid. D was sure he hadn’t caught it, because he would have been exposed to whatever B was exposed to, and he still thought so last night when he went to bed, but he woke up definitely ill this morning, with the same symptoms as the last time he had Covid. J had spent time with D on Monday, driving downtown and back and eating dinner, etc., and he woke up feeling today like he has Covid too. Neither tested positive (home-testing), but it seems quite likely. I messaged D&B’s aunt, but she says they’re all fine and that last she heard, R is fine too.

So now we’re doing the Covid thing again. J’s in his house, and D and I are in mine, mostly in our own bedrooms, although he has to come into mine to take a shower. D visited S this evening, as they think she’s already caught it too. D and I wear masks when we go out to the kitchen, and I wore a mask when I went to Safeway to buy them some special beverages. Since it’s summer, J and I spent some time sitting outside together as well.

Unfortunately, they’re scheduled to play in Magic tournaments for the new set on Saturday and Sunday, and D&S are supposed to attend a friend’s birthday party on Sunday, and D’s own birthday is Monday. Much of that is now not happening. Also, J and I are supposed to be cleaning his house before his brother and nephew arrive on Wednesday…

Well, I just have to hope they bounce back quickly and that I can continue my luck in not catching it. I am glad J already fixed my laptop too!
