Today was all about fixing things. The dryer isn't working again (or rather, it's working very slowly), so we figured we'd clogged up the vent again. J pulled it out and I climbed back behind and detached the vent hose and cleaned it fairly thoroughly with the vacuum. It turned out that wasn't the problem, so I guess we'll live with it like that until life calms down a bit.

The new lawn mower battery arrived, and I got it charged, but by that point it was after dark, so we don't yet know whether it works better than the one we bought a few weeks ago.

And then my flimsy laptop stopped working - that is, the case is misaligned and I wasn't able to plug in the power supply. The power supply I have at J's house hasn't plugged in for months, but the one in my room worked okay, until today. Fortunately, J has the patience to fix such things. He wasn't able to take the case apart entirely, because one screw was totally stuck, but he figured out that the problem is a tiny missing screw at the power supply jack, so he used some putty to fix it into place. It's okay for the moment, but I really need to back up the machine and get started on buying a new one!

I'm kind of still behind on everything else...

Oh dear, that is a lot of stuff going wrong at once. My Chromebook is dying and I am also sick of it, LOL the no mouse and no left shift key. I hope I remember how to use a left shift key at this point, LOL.
As soon as my credit card balance closes on the 28th, I will go get a new one.

I have a whole separate keyboard for this laptop. At least now I have its main contents on a flash drive, which I didn't a few days ago!
