Tuesday update

I was supposed to host mini-book club this week, but it's been postponed for at least a week. It's a good thing I hadn't put a lot of effort into cleaning up after the deer who visits the yard, and now I should have ample time for mowing. Tomorrow may be too cool for much reading outside, but mowing should be perfect.

Tonight I asked the Safeway clerk not to pack our eggs at the bottom of the bag, and he got quite defensive about it and made us bag our own groceries. I find that bizarre. Apparently he's the store's assistant manager? How could someone be a supermarket assistant manager without having any familiarity with best practices for bagging groceries? Oh well. We figure he was tired at the end of his day.

Amazing how logic bypasses some people who pack bags. It's logical that fragile or light stuff goes on top.

He wanted to argue with me about it and assure me that the eggs he packs at the bottom of people's bags are always fine. I think he's bonkers.

Trader Joe's has great deals on eggs and they open the box and check them and always put on top of top of a bag or look at me while they decide. He needs to go there for some training! ;-)
