Last night, D. was on standby for a 5 am flight (he'd previously said 4 am), and was #4 on the standby list, and he made it! He is in Dallas. Things haven't gone that great since his arrival, either - motion sickness on the train from the airport, then the hotel wouldn't let him into the room they forced him to pay for, for three hours until the new "day" started, even though he'd called ahead and explained the delay - but at least he is there. He is having lots of "learning experiences." I bet he didn't get much sleep either. Oh well, at least I can relax now.

Also, we got Sorin's test results today - the hyperthyroid medicine has lowered his thyroid level from 5.9 to 3.5, definitely in the right direction, without messing up his kidneys, so that's good!
