Wet!

I hadn't mentioned that when I went to the art gallery yesterday, it was raining substantially, and when I arrived I discovered that the umbrella I'd bought was so bad that it was actually better to leave it in the car and walk the five blocks each direction in the rain. Well, today was similar except that it wasn't particularly raining when I left home, but when I got downtown a few minutes later (just three miles away), it was raining hard with big thick raindrops. I did return a library book (and got another copy of it, hadn't finished it yet), but by the time I got back to my car (parked less than a block away) I was rather drenched. Rain is good, but preparation for rain is better!

I hope you got rid of the bad umbrella! That is a lot of fast coming rain. You had me wondering how hard it was to keep the books dry.

On Tuesday or Wednesday it's going to become dry again, with weather in the 80s by the weekend! That seems kind of warm but will be enjoyable I'm sure.

I only had one book to carry, and it was a hardcover with a plastic jacket, so I just had to protect the sides and then wipe off the cover once inside again.
