Overdoing it?

eve_primeToday J and I went for a very long walk (for us) - from here to the small dog park at Amazon Park and back, with a few detours. I'd already been on two shorter walks earlier, and this walk (60 minutes) was rather a lot! Still, it was probably good for us.
Later, though, when we were at the neighborhood supermarket, our neighbor MN, who is maybe 19, told us that she'd gone on a 10-mile walk in the last few days - from here to the top of Spencer Butte (as in my icon) and back. That's not only five miles each direction but an altitude gain of almost 1500 feet!
