Plumbing and Austen, resolved

eve_primeThe plumber came today and fixed my problems - a blocked drain and a leak. Afterwards, I had a nice conversation with the leader of the two. His name was Santiago, and I heard all about the various health problems and occupations of his 92-year-old father-in-law. Very nice to have the left side of my sink functioning again, and of course to have the leak repaired.
Then, I watched the rest of Mansfield Park. Yesterday I thought the male lead was "Edward" but it's "Edmund." Also, Hugh Bonneville is in it - almost unrecognizable as the very silly rich man whom Maria is supposed to marry. Two scenes were nearly pornographic, and they did more of the (to me) nauseating camera swoops, especially at the end, where they show us where Maria and her aunt live, and then what the Crawfords are doing, and finally end up back with Edmund and Fanny. I... think I liked it overall? But it would be much nicer if I could trust that I can look at the screen comfortably.
