Today we celebrated Easter, or rather, a "secular pagan" version of the holiday that doesn't have anything to do with Jesus, particularly. It was lovely weather and a pleasure to be outside
First, J hid our plastic eggs in his yard (supplemented with a package of new ones he'd bought at Safeway earlier), and D and I found them. Then we did Easter baskets; I had things for S too but she wasn't feeling well and didn't join us. Then D hid the plastic eggs for J to find (I helped, as did the cats). Then I started roasting a chicken with potatoes, and J and I went on a walk. His yard had the most amazing, large, perfect, dandelion flower. We saw lots of daffodils, tulips, magnolias, etc. Then I made butterfly-shaped biscuits, and we had dinner with D - the roast chicken and potatoes, the biscuits, and some fresh raspberries.

After that, D went out for a second dinner, this time with S for Chinese food, and I wrote an email to J's mom while watching him play a video game from the 1990s, which is part of his online game club. At this rate I don't know how he'll finish by the deadline (Friday), but I suppose he could skip some sword class if he really values the video game contest.
