I guess today was Saturday, but it doesn't feel so much like it at this point? Hm. J had had plans to go to Corvallis with DG for one last attempt at qualifying for that Dallas event, but he has a mild respiratory illness so stayed home instead. DG made top 8 but did not qualify. I did a bunch of work, then watched Babylon 5 at J's house, then took a walk and did more work while he joined his Rolemaster group remotely, then we watched this week's anime. After he went to bed, I read the last hundred pages or so of a five-star book, which I'll write about tomorrow.

Meanwhile, D and S went to see the second Dune movie, and he and I had a good conversation about it afterwards.

AS you might remember, I am not that into sci-fi but I loved the Dune books and Frank Herbert was such an excellent writer. I want to go see those movies!

Inspired by the Oregon coast! :) D&S watched part 1 just this week so they could see part 2 in the theater. They thought part 2 was even better than 1.
