Chicago aftermath
Feb. 26th, 2024 11:45 pmJ. and D. arrived back in Eugene around 11 pm and then safely home soon after that. Unfortunately, D. had woken up today convinced that he had caught Covid, and he tested positive soon after getting home. (He wore a mask all day, hopefully it won't have spread too far, especially as he mostly sat next to J.) Earlier in the day they'd visited the famous Field Museum, but D. was too unwell to look around very much; he just wanted to sit and rest. J also had a sore throat by the time he arrived home, but he tested negative and hopes it's just "con crud."
Will I catch it this time? Fingers crossed that I do not! If it's like the other time he had it, I'll feel wiped out for a week or two anyway. Also, although I can go to the store tomorrow (and should wear a mask), I should probably skip the special event I signed up for, a visit from Tina Brown to our university. I think I can watch on Zoom.
