Celebrating, finally

This evening we finally celebrated our wedding anniversary - we were going to have a fun dinner for movie night, but movie night was cancelled so instead we watched episodes 3 and 4 of the classic anime series, The Vision of Escaflowne, which J has seen (although not this new dubbing) and I have not. By "fun dinner" I don't mean anything fancy - canned split pea soup, apple slices, and toast. Still fun, though.

Meanwhile, D's friends had a party to honor S's birthday, which had also been on Monday. They played something called Wii Party.

There was a break in the rain, and the cats living in J's house got to go outside for the first time in a week, but they came back without too much effort at dinner time. Ambrose has too much energy to stay inside all the time, and Azalyn cares about her social connections with her friends. The rest of the cats are all always-inside or always-outside.

There are still at least 3500 households locally without power, although that's only half of what it was on Thursday. Tomorrow two locations will have services available for people who have been going without. (We have been so lucky!)

I am sure the two cats that go in and out were Very happy! You were lucky about your electricity. At one point i heard Oregon had 100 K places without electricity.
