Here's what happened weather-wise. We had at least an inch of snow, then several hours of plinky ice-rain, such that there's about 2" of cold white stuff on the ground and it's too icy to go anywhere anymore. Mostly I just did a whole lot of cozy reading, after I'd finished some cozy writing.
D headed out to S's house around 4:30 pm, so I figured I wouldn't see him again until Tuesday's thaw. He did try to come home around 8:30 pm but it was too icy to climb up her driveway. If he does have to stay here until Tuesday, that's too bad, because her birthday is Monday and I'm sure he didn't bring her presents with him.
J did come over at 5 pm so we could watch Babylon 5 with the people online, but we didn't dare try for the usual Saturday midnight anime. Instead, after his Rolemaster session (online today), we played a game online together and watched a different anime episode online together.
I sat on the porch around midnight with the outdoor cats, so that the cats I care about wouldn't be too afraid to eat with the scary cat who also showed up. Some of them will just ignore him, but Parker felt a lot better about eating with me there - otherwise he probably would have left. Even though it was 20° F and I had bare hands and feet, it was okay, except that every slight breeze was quite interesting.
The #1 thing is that we have not lost power! Very grateful!
