Day 1235: Lovely Monday

The weekend's clouds went away, leaving just a few puffy remnants in the sky, and it was again fairly warm but not too hot. 88F maybe? We had a fun dinner with DG at the Bier Stein, then they went off to play Magic (J won) and I went to two libraries and a grocery store, then read the week's newspapers and watched American Ninja Warrior. I think the ivy that's grown up the trunks of my two trees by the street may be damaging the hawthorn if not the oak; I should figure out how to remove it, or at least cut a ring of it away around the trunk.

My book has passed the first hurdle - my agent asked to read the whole thing. I hope she'll want to represent it.

how wonderful about your book, that sounds promising. :)

it was too chilly for me to get up early as usual and open windows and turn on fans. what a relief. it will only be up to 82 today but climbing to maybe 100 a full week out. maybe the same heat that was pushed out for you. we often get your weather trend a few days later, just more intense.

Oh dear, now it says 105!! for Monday, 104!! for Tuesday, and 103!! for Wednesday, dropping back to 91 on Thursday. Yuck. It also says you'll be at 101 on Tuesday and Wednesday. So I guess it's our turn for intense. At least, I sure hope you don't end up with something more intense than 105!

that sounds crazy! and it seems unusual for you to be as hot as us. we have been so lucky so far this year. last year in july there were 9 days in a row over 100 as so far this summer, one one day that high at a time. but i see that could be changing.

i hope you and your family and kitties can stay cool, yikes!

Ha! I rescheduled the book club meeting to Tuesday, but now the forecast says 106! My friend Bonnie has the idea that she'll bring buckets and we'll keep our feet immersed in cold water, doesn't that sound funny? I want to try it!

i think the cold feet bucket is a cute idea, something different! and will cool down the entire body. :)
