Day 1233: Happy cats!

We had a doe in J's yard for most of the day, and sometimes a buck was here too. The cats were fascinated. Here we have Azalyn looking at her, Ambrose done with looking at her and walking away, and glimpses of Blitzen's hindquarters and Theo's white feet in the foreground.

And now, if only they knew, the cats would be greatly relieved that our friends decided to drive all the way from Crater Lake to Portland today and didn't stop here at all, let alone spend the night!

Ha, yeah, we aren't sure whether to have our feelings hurt or what was going on. My theory is that they just wanted more time in Portland, but J. spent all week sleeping on his spare bed so that he wouldn't have to keep washing and changing the sheets on his larger bed for them. Oh well. It was good from the cats' perspective.

maybe they sensed the cats being unhappy? I wish they would have let you all know though.

Yeah, we keep wondering what happened. Were they really that eager to get to Portland, or was I too boring? J. says that even if I were boring, that wouldn't be a reason not to stay (or not to communicate what was going on with them beyond their change in plans). Oh well.
