Day 1218: Tired...

eve_primeLet's see. Last night for the Friday movie, we watched NiNoKuni, which was an animated movie based on a video game but with a different story. The story was absurdly full of cliches, but the movie was very pretty, especially the city and the island on the other side of the portal. Too bad they stopped showing new pretty places about a third of the way through.
Today J. went over to DG's house while the latter competed in an online Magic tournament. He came in 9th out of 450 - on the one hand a great finish, but on the other, he just missed out on a top 8 finish, which has much better prizes. Then they decided we should all eat at the Highlands, for which they'd park in our driveway and we'd walk over there. J came home while I got ready, and DG was going to follow "five minutes later," but apparently he was exhausted and decided about 20 minutes later to just stay home. Fine, but it had been hot outside where we were waiting.
Then J and I read outside until it was time for the new thing his Discord group is doing: watching Babylon 5 from the beginning. I've never seen any of it so it was fun to see the first episode. Seems like good writing, very nice costumes, complicated characters. We then spent an hour cleaning up J's spare room and its many stacks of Magic cards. By then I was exhausted too!
