How to Raise an Elephant, by Alexander McCall Smith. No.1 Ladies Detective Agency #21. I started this a couple months ago and got tired of it about two-thirds through. When I picked it up again yesterday, though, it seemed fun again, and I enjoyed the rest of it.

That sounds like a fun read. I have read all of his older books from the No. 1 Ladies Detective agency and the ones about Isobel D in Edinburg. I loved the ones about Isobel so much!

I have, many years ago. It was exactly as described in the books. Lovely people generally, but I found it very hot and dusty, and the capital, Gaborone, is not a big city. Kat and I also were in the Chobe game reserve a few years ago when we visited Victoria Falls, but that's very different from the rest of the country.

It many ways it's a good country, with decent average income, high literacy rates, and low levels of corruption.
