Day 1177: Outdoor office

Our weather was about perfect today. J went outside fairly soon after getting up, and although I'd planned to do a bunch of work inside (cleaning and using my computer), I decided, nope! And instead I took a whole bunch of books to J's house and set up an "office" next to the water feature, in the shade, and looked up things I needed in the books. I spent four and a half hours on it, except for a break to go buy a baguette at Safeway, and we had a lovely small meal of baguette, smoked gouda, and fresh strawberries. I counted more than 30 books in my final stacks! It was fun, because these were my nature writing / environmental philosophy books, and in some cases I hadn't looked at them in quite some time.

I've done it three or four times now - I do have a lot of environmental books. :)
