Today’s cooler weather let us get some things done outside. First, we bought five more lawn chairs, because some of our plastic adirondack chairs have worn out. We bought four more of those and a fancier folding chair for J, since he likes reclining. I’d already learned the hard way that the adirondack chairs don’t fit in my car (I had to carry them home the last time I bought some), but J did manage to wrestle two into his car’s back seat, so we got them home in two trips. And I encountered JV-M while waiting for J; she was buying bags of soil, and we chatted a bit.

Once J and I had the chairs home and had rested a bit, we worked on the yard. We got maybe a quarter of the blackberry vines behind the house cut down, and we made some small progress on clearing the weeds from the strawberry bed. We then sat in our new chairs and read a bit until it was too cold even with blankets. Then we went inside and I read and read until I finished the book I’d started today.

New chairs, how great! We just have wood folding chairs and then some other metal folding chairs. But at least we have cushions. And I use one as a foot stool, hah.

How great to be outside more. I haven't been sitting on our patio yet but I hope to over Memorial Day weekend. :)

I have seen those plastic adirondack chairs outside stores and they really do look nice! We just have smaller ones we can fold up.
Yours sound more comfy!

Sounds nice and relaxing! It's getting colder here - we actually some frost on the ground the other day (at the park).
