Rules for Visiting, by Jessica Francis Kane. This moderately light novel is the book my friend T. chose for our book club reading for the month, and I read it all in one afternoon. May is a socially awkward middle-aged gardener who works for her local university and lives with her 80-year-old father. She gets an unexpected one-month sabbatical and decides that since she has no friends in her life right now, she should visit the four friends she'd had earlier in her life. So she tells her story of how this came to be and what she does on her four visits. Pretty good - sometimes funny, sometimes poignant.
