Day 1138: Spring leaves at sunset

Today I took a break from work and went on an early evening walk to the neighborhood schools to see the wildflowers. There really weren't that many, especially compared to the poison oak, but I got a few pictures of individual flowers that I'll post to Facebook tomorrow. I also got this photo of the trees along Donald Street:

How beautiful! I am sorry you didn't see more wildflowers. I forgot how Oregon has all that Poison Oak, thanks for that reminder for our trip!

There was lots of camas, but I wondered why no iris. Strange! Yeah, watch out for the poison oak when you're here!

Our Iris here are leafing out but no buds yet. Maybe a late spring for them in your area too?

My other friend in Oregon (a woman from here) just posted on Facebook that she did walk into some Poison Oak and had to get steroid cream, ugh. I won't wear shorts yet though...

Could be! I was thinking of the wild iris, but I don't remember seeing any bearded iris yet either.

There's this wonderful hidden pond up in the hills that a friend showed me years ago, but the last time I went back (on Easter, maybe five years ago?), I got so much poison oak that I haven't dared visit it again. Hm. Maybe I should try anyway, but with paying a lot more attention to the poison oak!
