You know how you can get Windows to put something at the beginning of an alphabetical list, even if it's not alphabetically first, by putting an underscore at the beginning of the filename? Like this: _First

It turns out you can get Windows to put something at the end of an alphabetical list by putting an omega at the beginning of the filename! Like this: Ω.Last

Yay! I learned this while making the flash drive of wedding photos for J's mom. She's getting all the standard sorted folders, plus an extra folder of all the photos unsorted, and I wanted that one to appear last.

So tomorrow I can mail off the very last wedding thank-you note! And then I can finally get started on mailing our holiday newsletters, which I wrote back in December and started printing in January after I bought the new printer. Once all that's done, I won't feel quite so horribly behind.

How wonderful to get those wedding thank you notes out, congrats! :)

That is cool about the omega at the end. I wish I still had Windows sometimes.

:)

That's such an interesting tip! I never knew that. Now I'm going to confuse people at work.

Hah! It works with other symbols too, like α. Might be because it sorts some special characters after alphanumeric.
