Day 1118: Here comes the sun

In the past, D's mostly practiced driving late at night, like around 10 pm, which has been great because there aren't many cars around at all. Now that he's decided to practice again, every Wednesday, though, I'm sure he wants to drive at more typical times, and today he asked to drive at 6:30 pm. Sure, J's car was available then, and I was too, so off we went.

Well, guess what? At 6:30 pm in April, if it's not cloudy, then the sun is very much in your eyes every time you're facing west! So we just went to the middle school (then west to Donald St.), then up to the elementary school (and again west to Donald St.), and then he'd had enough. When we pulled into the driveway (again facing west), there was a moment when we couldn't see anything at all and had to inch forward until the sun was behind J's house.

We had sun yesterday, and today too! Clouds return tomorrow, though.

Gene and I were laughing saying it will probably rain when we travel there! LOL.

Around here at certain times of the year, it's a real annoyance living west of your workplace. Sun in your eyes on the way to work and back.

Oh wow, yeah. When I lived in a city and had to commute, it wasn't an issue since it was the opposite direction.
