eve_primeThe Proposal, by Jasmine Guillory. Re-read. This was the first of her books that I'd read, a few years ago, so it was fun to circle back around after reading three others. She writes romance novels set in California (this one's in LA), and so far, in each book, at least one of the two lovebirds is Black. In this one, Carlos (a doctor) and his sister rescue a journalist (Nik) when her boyfriend subjects her to an awkward proposal on the jumbotron at Dodger Stadium, and gradually - and amusingly awkwardly - they eventually realize that they love each other.
