Day 1107: Whew
Apr. 1st, 2023 11:49 pmLast fall I broke the lawnmower. I left it outside and it got rained on, and it's electric, and it wouldn't start afterwards. I waited a few days, but it still wouldn't start. So I put it in the shed for us to deal with this spring.
The prospect of replacing it seemed like it was going to be a pain. We want a battery-powered one because using a cord is a real nuisance with all the sections of lawn we have, and I liked the Lowe's version where you take the battery inside to charge it. However, Lowe's is five miles away. Would they be able to deliver, or would we have to borrow DG's truck? Or could we be happy with one from the hardware store that's only one mile away? We could push a lawn mower home from there (although the big hill is a pain). It all seemed like such a hassle.
So. Today I charged up the battery and we took the mower out of the shed and put the battery in, and... it worked!
