Day 1105: Cat transformation

Yesterday when I was going through the wildflower photos for my blog post, I also came across this one of Azalyn (and Tertius), taken soon after their mama started bringing them to my porch for food. She's scruffy, skinny, and totally on alert, keeping her wary eye on me.



Compare that with the photo J took today for contrast - she's gorgeous, plump, and altogether relaxed and trusting.

Such pretty kittens and what a transformation! You couldn't imagine how a cat could look more relaxed. :-)

She's a very smart cat, using her brains to overcome her first instincts and learn the humans are actually okay.

Wow! She has come quite far even looking like a different cat. How wonderful. Are they still doing good sleeping inside at J's?

They're doing great at staying in overnight, and Azalyn is also great at staying indoors when it's raining. He let Ambrose go out yesterday, though, and he came in dripping wet with his tummy covered with mud, so today Ambrose is staying inside too and doesn't much like it.

That Ambrose likes adventure it sounds like. Good move to keep him in during the day too, especially until the weather gets better!

Trouble is, if he's kept inside he hops in and out of J's big chair repeatedly until J lets him out. I was just thinking that we'll need to have him indoors whenever we mow the lawn and especially whenever we use the weed-eater - he's come too close to disaster before.

He sure sounds like a problematic bundle of love, hee hee.
Probably SO used to being outside all the time...
