Day 1100: More transcription humor
Mar. 25th, 2023 10:26 pmToday I texted D - he hadn't fully sealed his package of baby carrots, and when I put away the new milk, quite a few carrots fell on the floor. It came out like this:
"Oops, your carrot bag wasn't sealed and when I put the new milk away, 21 carats went on the floor. Guess I should have taken a picture."
Today's AI knows that the word pronounced "carrut" is often "carat" when it follows 21, or presumably 14 or 18.
How long until AI knows that since I was already talking about "carrots" and surely actually meant "carrots" that first time since I was also talking about milk, so when I again used a word sounding like "carrots" in the very same sentence, I probably meant "carrots" the second time too? Not to mention that "carats" can't go on the floor...
