Today I texted D - he hadn't fully sealed his package of baby carrots, and when I put away the new milk, quite a few carrots fell on the floor. It came out like this:

"Oops, your carrot bag wasn't sealed and when I put the new milk away, 21 carats went on the floor. Guess I should have taken a picture."

Today's AI knows that the word pronounced "carrut" is often "carat" when it follows 21, or presumably 14 or 18.

How long until AI knows that since I was already talking about "carrots" and surely actually meant "carrots" that first time since I was also talking about milk, so when I again used a word sounding like "carrots" in the very same sentence, I probably meant "carrots" the second time too? Not to mention that "carats" can't go on the floor...

My first thought was, do people wash their diamond rings with milk? LOL
(Jewelry I mean, that would be one huge ring!)

And of course second thought is, who is programming all this AI and when should we start being afraid. ;-)

Right! I feel funny even wearing my small diamond ring. I just wear the first set of gold rings that my Dad gave my Mom when they were first married in 1943. The sentiment is so special to me.
