Day 1087: Earliest spring

eve_primeToday was partly sunny and not very cold - I think it got up to 59 F - so I wanted to go on a neighborhood walk to look for the signs of spring. By the time we were both ready, though, it was obvious to me that it was likely to resume raining, so we only walked a half mile loop and returned home. We did sit outside on the deck under the awning for quite a while, letting the cats entertain us.
On the walk we saw: some nice heather, crocuses, some dark purple miniature irises, and some daffodils.
