Day 1079: Friends over

Today our friends JC, MSC, and MC came over for conversation and Thai food. MC will turn two in May, so the focus was partly on her the entire time. She was most grieved when her mom left to pick up the Thai food (they've stopped doing their own delivery, to which I say alas, as it was super-efficient). She was also most grieved at the end when Ambrose was too shy to approach her. "Ambrose! Ambrose!"

MSC was on the academic job market this year but didn't get any interviews, so now they're planning to stay here another 4-5 years, yay. She has a half-time position here and some promising grant plans, and JC is enjoying his architect job.

That sounds like a nice evening. It seems a tad hard for professionals to find jobs right now. At least their new plan will work out for them.

Little M. loves cats, but although she's quite gentle with her, their family cat Ellie doesn't like her very much yet. It's too bad Ambrose wasn't up for socializing.
