Day 1018: Doing things again

The holiday is basically over; J returns to work tomorrow. He's been off since the 22nd. D still has another week before classes resume. I felt a bit healthier today (apparently it's a cold) and joined J and DG at the Taphouse for my lovely giant pretzel with beer-cheese dip; I was also able to return two library books.

J believes the broken file cabinet is actually locked, other than the broken bottom drawer. It's implausible that I would ever have locked it, but, so it apparently is. I went through all my keys, and also found lock-pick instructions online, but eventually had to order a new key. (It's pretty cool that I could do that.)

Yesterday we watched Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and I'm now in the middle of watching it a second time.

I'm still way behind on thank-yous, holiday newsletter, and all that. All in good time, I hope.

Oh dear, I hope you will be able to get into the file cabinet with the new key! Some things just get locked, it's weird.

Much better for the key to work than to have to call a locksmith - fingers crossed.
