Day 629: Sociable Sunday

eve_primeToday we made what felt like real progress in Christmas shopping. We went out and bought four gifts for D, including his main present. And as it was sunny, we walked a bit by Amazon Creek. Unfortunately, many homeless people end up living beside the creek, and they leave a lot of garbage, so it was a mess. We did photograph a heron, though.
Then we came home in time for our friends DG and AA to come over for pizza for dinner. AA had made a toy for the kittens with a stick and long strands of yarn - Azalyn loved it. Here she is playing tug-of-war:
We hung out together chatting for three hours, and since they left I've gotten six gifts wrapped for the North Carolina folks.
