Day 583: Symphony!

Tonight I got to introduce DG and AA to our local symphony. AA was especially intrigued by the short piece by an Oregon composer about the character who became Ursula in The Little Mermaid; I was especially excited by the Mendelssohn violin concerto; DG was looking forward to hearing the conclusion of Ravel's waltz that he'd missed on Monday, when it all falls apart. They had a great time! AA was SO happy afterwards - she kept saying things like, "I love love love LOVED it!!!" JS and BS didn't go (concerns about COVID, as she has had only the J&J vaccine). She offered us their tickets, but J. had decided to go to sword class. In retrospect, he wishes he'd come to the symphony instead.
