Day 506: Hazy Tuesday
Aug. 3rd, 2021 11:47 pmThe air quality is getting progressively worse, I assume from the forest fires near Oakridge, which is 40 miles east of us in the mountains. D. went off to campus for lunch but when he returned he was quite uncomfortable - I think he was expecting it to be cooler than it was. Today was supposed to be the day that we finally got paint so he could change the color of his childhood dresser, but he ended up deciding he just didn't care about the color anymore. (It's really not that bad, a medium blue.)
I went on a late afternoon walk, hoping T. was around so I could congratulate her in person for her new position as a kindergarten teacher before they drive to New Mexico to install her younger son in the university there. They were probably doing dinner, though. Then I read outside with J; we didn't much mind the haze. After that, we watched the conclusion of Food Wars: Third Plate; thankfully, they're starting Fourth Plate (the fourth season) in just three weeks, because the current storyline wasn't resolved.
