Day 483: Sociable Sunday

eve_primeToday's really, really great weather - warm but not hot, and breezy - was a winning background for quite a fine day. I got up "early" and walked down to the neighborhood park for the very end of J's sword class, then home again, spotting an extended family of wild turkeys settled down near the creek.
Then we had friends come over for Magic: DG and his friend E, plus JC. D. entertained everyone with the story of the explosion and fire at his job, then we went outside and did a Magic draft of the Strixhaven set, although it was breezy enough that we all decided to come inside after that (cards were being blown all around). After the first round, JC went home to his wife and baby, and I settled outside to read. The rest played a second round, then our friends left, and we had pizzas delivered, which we ate outside again. Then D. went home and J. and I read outside until it was too dark.
I didn't get any work done, but it was a fine day!
