Day 476: Happy Fourth

eve_primeOur Fourth of July was rather circumscribed this year, but we had a good time. Our friends couldn't come over due to work deadlines, and fireworks were prohibited south of 18th Ave due to fire hazards (we're near 40th), so we just celebrated by grilling burgers, hot dogs, and ears of corn. We also had strawberries and doritos chips.
D. entertained us with stories about a woman at work who's obsessed with conspiracy theories - most people seem to shrug her off, but a friend showed up on Friday when D. was working near her, and she spent 2+ hours telling the awe-struck friend all the latest "truth." It must be gratifying to have special inside knowledge like that. Also, 75% of the office staff have their vaccines but only 20% of the packing crew. This woman insisted "you can't make me" but the woman explaining that the packing crew will have to keep wearing masks until they get to 75% also pointed out that "you don't have to work here."
