Day 458: Adventures afield

eve_primeToday J. and our guests drove to Crater Lake and took lots of photos; on the way back they stopped at Odell Lake and then Salt Creek Falls, which is dramatic.
Meanwhile, D. and his girlfriend celebrated their five-year anniversary by hiking to the top of Spencer Butte (see icon).
As for me, I upgraded my car insurance, picked up some library books, mowed most of J's main lawn, and uploaded a bunch of documents for my grant proposal. Pretty mundane. I also watched a charming episode of Naruto Shippuden that I'd seen before - a flashback to their childhood days, with Hinata suffering an overtraining injury thanks to her cousin Neji, who apparently feels some regret and he tries to make her life easier.
