Day 454: June weather
Jun. 12th, 2021 11:50 pmToday we expected rain at 5 pm, so I was surprised that it was actually over 80 degrees before that. I was out there scrubbing the front door side of my house - the siding gets mildew - and it was warm and humid, though the sky looked like it should have been in the low 60s. Strange.
The rain actually started around 6:15 pm, and I was busy cleaning my stuff in J's house at that point, and dashing down to Market of Choice for some nice bread and a burrito.
J. and D. each actually had dinner in restaurants today! J. played in a Magic tournament in a new game store on the far side of Springfield, with four other friends - they picked that store over the usual one because the new store was requiring vaccination (and masks). There were only 12 people playing in the afternoon tournament, and fewer in the evening one, so trusted people were a pretty large share of their exposure. Between the two events, they all went to dinner at Plank Town, which is one of J's favorite restaurants.
Meanwhile, D. was looking forward to eating Korean barbecue in one of his own favorite restaurants, with his friends, but after they picked him up they decided it was too expensive and ended up at Denny's (an all-day breakfast chain).
As for me, I ate my burrito at home, then worked a bunch on the proposal, then watched another Hallmark Mystery movie.
