However, I have it mildly confused in my head with a Tamora Pierce book in which one of her characters gets involved in some big event on a community's sea wall; in this book, Princess Andromeda just goes up to the Sea Watch to see one of her guard friends. Also, the main thing I remember about this one is the scene where Andromeda is taken off and left as a dragon's sacrifice, then is rescued by a knight, George, with whom she goes wandering the countryside. I generally forget that George is actually Georgina and that the dragon is a fine person who has taken the various sacrificed girls to a nice ruined castle to live in, though I remember it when she and George meet, and then I really forget that the dragon has a fabulous brother who is a Bookwyrm and a perfect mate for the princess, other than the little problem of his species.
Anyway, I like it. I probably won't reread the next 500 Kingdoms book for a while, if at all - it was kind of boring and based on Russian fairy tales, which shouldn't be as boring as the book.
