Day 355: Whew, taxes

eve_primeI haven't seriously started on my own taxes yet, but I can report that, whew, as of this afternoon, my mom's financial records are at the office of her tax preparer. Once that's all done, then I can prepare my formal report of what all has happened to her estate since April 1, and divvy it up among the four of us (me, my sister, and Arnold's two sons).
When I got home from that, D. was having a minor crisis with medium-sized ants on his windowsill. We cleaned it very thoroughly, but four more appeared an hour later. So we stuffed tissue into two of the locations around the window where ants could, in theory, emerge. Ants really creep him out, and these "medium-sized ants" are about twice the length of the usual sugar ants.
We had rain all day today, which was great - cozy indoors, and much of the pollen washed from the air. J's movie night event didn't happen, so I was able to use the evening to read and make an artichoke risotto. It feels like Saturday, though.
