Day 350: A fun long walk

eve_primeToday was beautiful weather, and our friends DG and AA were interested in going on a walk, and even though I was busy with the Santa Rosa Symphony concert all afternoon until 5 pm, it's still daylight until well after 6! So they arrived at 5 pm, and we set forth. We walked to the elementary school, then beyond, toward the real forest, though people were a bit tired by that point, so we just went a little ways to look at interesting houses then headed back. When we were nearing the school again, I remembered the steep set of stairs across from the main crosswalk, and we'd never been on them - J didn't even know they were there - so, up we went. AA was delighted, because with all the moss and shade it reminded her of random stairways in Japan. So then we were on Kingswood and walked all the way back down the hill, then past the neighborhood pool and eventually home. So fun!
They headed home after that, and J. and I went to Safeway for the week's groceries, then I made spaghetti for me and D, and by that point it was well after 8 pm, so I headed to J's to spend the evening. However, it was my most allergic day in a long time, and J. was congested too, so it's too bad I forgot that I needed a second shower after the walk, because it's much too late now. We'll see how that affects tomorrow.
