Day 342: Book completed
Feb. 20th, 2021 11:59 pmThe Case of D.B. Cooper's Parachute, by William L. Sullivan. Here's local writer Bill Sullivan's take on the real-life D.B. Cooper mystery, told as a police procedural. (Cooper was the first skyjacker, in 1971; he jumped from the plane with $200,000 and was never found.) The book was exciting, surprising, and entertaining. In addition to spending a lot of time in the Portland area, our protagonist (Lt. Ferguson) travels to Grenada, Murmansk, Novgorod, and Pskov. I have to suspect that Sullivan has also been to Russia, although surely not to Murmansk?
Also today - I did a bunch of youth orchestra admin stuff, and I went on a walk with J. and later to the credit union and Market of Choice.
