Day 339: Wednesday, full steam ahead

eve_primeToday I had an interesting meeting, which was a preview of AL's dissertation defense, and an okay yet eventually tiresome meeting, the monthly board meeting for the youth orchestras. I love the youth orchestras and I enjoy the people, but when the meeting is otherwise over and people decide it's time to spend 20 minutes collectively over-editing a paragraph - and there are a dozen people, with different aesthetics - at that point I don't mind that I only have another month on the board before my term is done.
Thankfully there was no science hour this week, giving me some time in between to get some stuff done.
I had told Isabelle that I'd have my response to the publisher ready by tomorrow night, but it took until 7:30 pm today before I felt prepared to tackle it. I worked for hours and hours, though, and now all I have to do is review my first chapter and write a bit about it, then drop by the university library to get a couple of books to skim and, ideally, also visit my office to print a paper or two, and use all that info, then finish my cover letter. It's do-able.
