eve_primeHm, today I worked on estate paperwork, picked up a couple of library books, bought bromine for the hot tub at Bi-Mart, watched some Poldark and Finding Your Roots, and read some. J. played Magic online with DG, and I got some work done then.
Interesting late-night conversation topic - somewhere yesterday I read the observation that The Lord of the Rings is a portal fantasy, because the Shire is both a familiar "home" for the reader and socially isolated from its wider, more magical and dangerous world.
