I got a new car battery today - I'm not sure when the other one failed, but it's been more than a week. And it was energizing! I immediately jumped in the car and drove downtown to pick up dinner from the Taphouse and the manga I'd ordered on Saturday, and I felt so free... Three of the outdoor cats were happy, too, as it meant the hood of my car was nice and warm when I came home again.

By the numbers - my old battery was rated at 550 amps, but it only had 73 left. It was a Group 35 battery, but for the same price I could have a Group 24 battery, which has 100 more amps, at a minimum. Actually it had 914! The car starts more rapidly now. The old battery was dated April 2016 and installed in June of that year, so if I'd gone all the way to Les Schwab Tires I could have gotten a refund of $36ish on the old one's warranty, but it was much nicer to sit around my house waiting for AAA than to sit around the gigantic lobby of Les Schwab waiting for mechanics.

I made a new blog post, on the topic of book #4, if I get that far without coming up with intervening topics.

Also, the package from Poland arrived and I can put that whole Displate debacle behind us, other than the need to find a proper frame for D's poster, since the magnetic backing has failed.

J. and I have been sitting here reading, and we listened to the entire Schubert cello quintet.
