Day 328: Manga store
Feb. 6th, 2021 11:58 pmYesterday, as I made my way through more of November's newspapers, I learned of a new manga/graphic novel/comic book store that had opened downtown, one that is working hard to be inclusive. That is, their stock especially features BIPOC works, an acronym I recently learned (Black, Indigenous, People of Color). I told AA, who is buying up manga to use in art projects, and she got quite a haul on sale. So, as J. also wanted to go downtown to pick up some Magic stuff he'd ordered, we visited it as well.
Unfortunately, inclusiveness doesn't yet include those of us with fragrance sensitivity. I ordered the next two Bokuben manga, then I waited outside while J. waited his turn then bought up the first nine volumes of Boruto, at 50% off. I hope the scent from the store will wear off before I'm ready to read them! Or I can read them outside in the summer, which is what I have to do with some books from the public library.
